My Top 8 Recommendations for The Reader's Block

A Reader's Block... I'm talking about the time you don't find any books to hook you into completing them or you just keep thinking about that "other" book series which is over or at a major cliffhanger that you can't take your mind out of or maybe just a newly budding reader trying to find your niche, genre to read..
A Reader's Block is very common....Every reader would've traveled  or is traveling down that demon road..Felt or is feeling that Frustration
tribulations of a Reader's Block
If you're have one of those times and reading this hoping to get out of the reading rut, You've come to the right post.

These are a few books that I found most enjoyable during "that" time. This is my Top 8 Recommendations for The Reader's Block.

( Note : Click the book cover for the Goodreads synopsis )

1.  Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles #1) by
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/11235712-cinder
This series is a new take on fairytale stories and this first book is a parallel to Cinderella's story. Extremely funny, interesting storyline and the little predictability is what makes this book so much entertaining and engaging to read. It is a light read with some great theme and gives you a sense of nostalgia. I swear to God! I've never had so much fun reading a book in a long time as much as this one.

2. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/11870085-the-fault-in-our-stars
You probably would've heard about this book a lot on the media. The movie released last February. This book is a beautiful story about a teen struggling with cancer. It is thought provoking, makes you value life more, entertaining to read and funny as well with Awesome characters. Humorous, emotional, intellectual, romantic..it's the full package! (Warning : Get some tissues ready though)

3.  The 5th Wave (The Fifth Wave, #1) by Rick Yancey
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/16101128-the-5th-wave           A book about alien invasion that is cool, with survival and humanity at it's brink. A grim concept, but the humor and fantastic characters make up for it. But, what really drives this book is the writing style. It is so Beautiful. I highlighted so much when I read this book. It's a book that appeals to a variety of genre lovers.

4. Ruby Red (The Ruby Red Trilogy #1) by
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/8835379-ruby-red

5.  Vampire Academy (Vampire Academy #1) by Richelle Mead
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18660669-vampire-academy
Mix of High school stuff and vampires (Spoiler Alert : They do not sparkle) with a cool lore. The main thing about this book is it's extremely funny, there are some really cool characters and the plot is light but also intriguing. If you have seen the movie, please don't judge the book by that cause that movie (sigh)...I don't even wanna talk about it. Seriously, the book's way better.

6. The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer (Mara Dyer #1) by

      YA!
Cinder is amazing! It's a very enjoyable read and it's really funny! It feels like you're reading a more mature sci-fi/fantasy version of the Disney fairytales. It's a very fun read! You should pick it up when you get the time :D

    5. The Shining?! As in that movie with the creepy twins in the hallway?! It was based off of a book?! Woah! Cool!
Hey, could you do a review of all the three books or at least tell me after you've read them how they were! I wanna know! I've been meaning to read To kill a mockingbird and The book thief!!!! Please? :D

    6. yup that one Stephen King ^_^
To Kill a Mockingbird is drama and kind of interesting..it is from point of view of a 9 years old girls and follows the adventure of her and her brother and their family it deals with family issues..racism and stuff we deal in everyday life..it's a bit slow paced but really nice..I like it :D
The Book thief I read the prologue before I started Mockingbird it was beautiful..I saw the movie I loved it I'm hoping it is amazing as well :D
I'd definitely recommend drama mockingbird if you like slow drama :D

    7. I've never read any Stephen King Novel! I've heard like they're very disturbing..I can't wait to give this one a try!
Oh great!!! That sounds interesting! I don't know why I used to think To kill A mockingbird was about a bird loving psychotic murderer when I first came across the title LOL! I should read it though..The premise sounds interesting, but I first gotta read The Book Thief! I didn't watch the movie..The trailer wasn't that appealing..But, I've heard a lot of great thing about the both of them! :D

    9. C'mon, it's believable! Why did they name a racial drama thing as To kill a mockingbird?! It's easy to come to the psychotic murderer conclusion! Witch Mockingbird?! I know, I know typo..but still that makes one hell of a title. Maybe you can write a book named The Adventures of A Witch Mockingbird :D
Well, I can't wait to read it then!

    10. Bwhahaha XD
Well the book is named after a believe that it's a sin to kill a mockingbird (since doesn't harm us anyway) which play a huge part in the book :D
The best part is there are really horrible things in the book but they're from a childs point of view and thus written accordingly to how a child thinks etc

    11. Ohhh! okay, that kinda makes sense actually :D
WOW..I love POV's from kids like that..They're just so much more terrifying to read!

  2. Cinder actually got me in to a reading slump (/reader's block as you call it). It was just so good I didn't really want to read anything else. Now I basically just use graphic novels for when I'm not really in the mood of reading something where I have to think much.
Poison Study is a great book also. The rest I haven't read, but am excited to get into :)
